F & I Director

We are a company seeking a hard-working individual qualified to maintain the position of F & I Director within our dealership. The Finance and Insurance Director will be responsible for working with financial lenders to achieve fair interest rates while selling supplemental finance and insurance programs to new and used vehicle buyers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Implement and follow all F & I standard processes including securing approval through financial sources using proper corporate, state and federal channels
  • Find new lending institutions and maintain working relations to secure competitive interest rates and financing programs for the dealership
  • Understand and is proficient with Reynolds and Reynolds software
  • Offers customer competitive financing rates – achieve customer dealership financing
  • Explain extended warranty information and aftermarket products to customer – this supplements the dealerships automotive investment while increasing profitability
  • Offer customers a thorough explanation of aftermarket products, manufacturer and dealership service procedures and policies
  • Maintain, understand and comply with current local, state and federal regulations
  • Understanding of dealership computers and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Maintain a compliance of all Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, applicable laws and regulations
  • Interpret and analyze customer needs
  • Create a finance program with sales department associates to ensure future profits within the F & I Department and dealership
  • Train sales associates by providing information on finance and lease programs, including the benefits concerning dealership financing and extended service programs

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Display a professional appearance with above standard work ethics
  • Extensive background in business, financing and/or marketing
  • Minimum of two years in dealership management

Required Education:

  • High school diploma or the equivalent
  • College Degree or the equivalent
  • Education in Business, Math, Marketing or general Business classes a plus
